Morrisville Bridges & Dams
• A WorldWeb.com Travel Guide to Bridges & Dams in Morrisville, VT, Vermont.
This bridge crosses over Sterling Brook in Morristown, a small hamlet near Morrisville, and is known by locals as Chaffee Bridge due to a family who lived nearby. Built in 1896, the bridge uses a kingpost truss with a superimposed queenpost truss system. When damaged by a storm a year later it was built, the truss system had iron rods added for support.
