American Museum of Fly Fishing The American Museum of Fly Fishing features a number of exhibits that highlight the rich history of fly fishing. Among the displays are the evolution of the fly-fishing reel, tied flies, as well as paintings and sculptures. This museum, in Middlebury, VT, has deep historical roots as a museum since the 1880's. It is comprised of three parts: a research component, the Walter Cerf Gallery and Judd-Harris House.
The Walter Cerf Gallery features changing exhibits of fine art while Judd- Harris House houses the bulk of the museum's collection. Henry Sheldon, after whom the museum is named, collected and preserved photographs, objects and records of Vermont especially in Middlebury and Addison County.
