    Middlebury College Snow Bowl

    Public are welcome at this ski hill, but some runs are reserved for Middlebury College students only. The hill has two double and one triple chair and over a hundred acres of open terrain. Ski school programs include snowboard and alpine ski lessons for beginners to experts and children to adults.

    Mount Snow Resort/Haystack

    With a total of 134 ski runs and a 1,700 vertical rise, Mount Snow/Haystack resort is one of the larger ski areas in Vermont. Twenty per cent of all runs are listed as 'beginner', 60% are listed as 'intermediate' with the remaining 20% designated as 'expert'. The resort encompasses a total of 769 skiable acres with an impressive total of twenty-six ski lifts servicing the area. Amenities and services at Mount Snow include childcare facilities, two restaurants, a ski school and a snowboard park.

    Sugarbush Resort
    With a vertical drop of 2,650 feet and eighteen lifts, Sugarbush Ski resort is one of Vermont's premier ski destinations. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate or expert skier Sugarbush has something to offer everyone. Eighteen percent of the runs at Sugarbush are rated as 'beginner,' 39% are rated as 'intermediate' and, for those who enjoy a challenge, 43% are designated as'expert.' Snowboarding is permitted at Sugarbush. Visitors will also appreciate the availability of onsite accommodation at Sugarbush Lodge.

    Smuggler's Notch
    Located just outside of Jeffersonville, VT, Smugglers Notch Vermont, perhaps best known as a ski resort, is truly a four season destination. In terms of skiing, the resort features a total of 67 runs with a vertical rise of 2,160 feet. Twenty percent of runs are listed as 'beginner', 53% are listed as 'intermediate' while the remaining 25% are designated as 'expert' or advance. A total of nine lifts service the area. Skiers with children will appreciate the on-site child care facility which provides service to children aged six weeks to six years. Two restaurants are available on the hill to meet the needs of hungry skiers. Snowboarding is welcomed at Smugglers' Notch. In summer, the resort features eight swimming pools including a waterslide park. **NOTE: Out of area visitors should be aware that Smugglers' Notch Pass on Route 108 is closed during winter. Primary access is via Jeffersonville.

    Magic Mountain

    With a total of thirty-three runs, 1,600 vertical rise and four runs servicing 135 skiable acres, Magic Mountain offers 40% 'expert' runs, 30% 'intermediate' terrain and 30% of trails as 'beginner runs.' Snowboarding is welcomed at Magic Mountain and offers a snowboard park. Magic Mountain claims to have the most challenging terrain in Vermont.

    Stowe Mountain Resort
    Stowe Mountain Resort is situated just outside the village of Stowe,VT, a short forty minute drive from Burlington International Airport. The resort features ten ski lifts, with a vertical drop of 2,360 feet covering 480 acres. Sixteen percent of the trails are rated 'beginner', 59% are rated 'intermediate' while 25% are rated advanced or 'expert'.     Bromley Mountain

    Truly a four season resort, in addition to being a ski hill, Bromley offers family oriented recreational opportunities in the summertime.
